Project by: Luca Somaini
Renovation project of a 90 sqm apartment in Milan in the Porta Romana area. Complete renovation of the property and related re-distribution of space for a family composed of a couple with daughter.
The following rooms have been created: 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchenette, hall, closet and walk-in closet. I have complied with all the requirements dictated by the owners, including handcrafted elements inside the project. The optimization of the spaces and the aesthetics of the rooms were the protagonists of this turnkey restructuring. All the furnishings were designed and made exclusively by me by a carpentry shop in Milan, the sliding doors of the Eclissi (Syntesis Line series) were specifically requested to be installed at full height inside the corridor.
The kitchenette has been created inside the room with the possibility of being “shielded” thanks to the presence of two sliding elements. Great importance and value is assumed by the (sliding) stucco decorated work that transforms into a large “picture” that divides the night hallway from the hall. Both bathrooms were made entirely of resin with the creation of customized shower stalls with guides embedded in the masonry; the master bathroom has been enriched by the insertion of a hand-decorated wall cabinet in gold leaf.
